Makar Sankranti: Mythological significance of the day of Great Virtue

On the day of Makar Sankranti i.e. 14th January, this year is becoming a coincidence. This time there is a huge consensus after 100 years. Due to which its mythological importance is greatly increased. Makar Sankranti is getting this time in “Paarijaat Yog” and on the same day “Triodashi” is going to happen, which become religiously very auspicious. At this time, if you do charity on then you will get the blessings of God. This day porridge and sesame donation have special significance.

If you take a bath in the holy river Ganges on Makar Sankranti, then according to the legendary mythological belief you get the virtue of equal seven “Ashwamegha Yagna”. On the day of Makar Sankranti, you must also chant the “Gayatri Mantra”. If you do it before sunrise, then it will be even more beneficial.

On Makar Sankranti, you should donate in the name of the ancestors. Depend on your strength and belief on this day you may donate honey to Lord Lakshmi, rice to Lord Shiva and butter to Lord Krishna. This will be very fruitful for you.
