Friends, you have often seen that most of the Indian Railways engine now runs from electricity. Now, if the high tension line of electricity is accidentally touched on the railway tracks then why it does not flow over track as well as on the train?
Actually this is the property of electric current that whenever it flows from one place to another, it chooses the shortest path. The railway track has taken to the ground (Earthing) regularly after a short distance. That is why you do not feel any electric current on the track. And all the currents get ground inside the earth.
