Pitru Paksha or Shradh has an important place in Sanatan Dharma. It is believed that during this time our ancestors (Pitru) came to Earth and blessed us. In such a situation, Pinddaan and Shradhkarma, etc. are performed for the ancestors during this time so that their souls can be satisfied. Today we will tell you about the important dates related to Shradh. Along with this, we will also give information about which date is considered best for performing Shradh.
Shradh dates:
Pratipada Tithi – Shradh of maternal grandparents is especially performed on this date. In such a situation, if someone does not remember the date of his maternal grandparents, then their Shradh Karma can be performed on Pratipada Tithi of Shradh Paksha.
Panchami Tithi – For any person who dies before marriage, his Shradh is performed on Panchami Tithi.
Navami Tithi – Navami Tithi of Pitru Paksha is considered to be the best for the Shradh of those women who die while their husband is alive, that is, those who die in a married state. Along with this, this date is also considered to be the best for the Shradh of the mother, so it is also called Matri-Navami at many places. In such a situation, the Shradh of all the deceased women of the family can be performed on Navami Tithi.

That is, for any person who has died an untimely death, his Shradh is performed on Chaturdashi. On the other hand, Trayodashi Tithi is considered to be the best for the Shradh of children.
Amavasya Tithi – Pitru Paksha or Shradh ends on Amavasya Tithi of Ashwin month, which is also known as Sarvapitri Amavasya. If for some reason you have not been able to perform the Shradh of ancestors on other dates of Pitru Paksha, then in such a situation their Shradh can be performed on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya. That is, the Shradh of all known and unknown ancestors is performed on this date.
