People have a huge craze to see the snow. But most of the time, they are disappointed. Today we are going to tell you about a place where you will be able to see the snow this summer. We are talking about Rohtang Pass.
Rohtang is located on the eastern Pir Panjal hills of Himalayan ranges in the Himachal Pradesh region. Its height is 13050 feet above sea level. It is approximately 51 kilometres from Manali. Rohtang Pass is also called the gateway to Lahoul and Spiti Valley.
Earlier people used to come here from their car. But due to lack of driving experience on hilly paths, there were many accidents happened. Secondly, due to excess of more vehicles, it affects the ecological and environment too. Because of which the government has banned private vehicles here. Also, only professional drivers are allowed to drive the vehicle.
Rohtang Pass is one of the most beautiful places in Kullu area. Here you can come from June to October. You may also enjoy lots of adventure sports such as snow scooters, skiing, mountain biking etc.
While approaching Rohtang from Manali, there will also be a natural waterfall in your way, whose name Rahala. It is present at an altitude of 2500 meters. Its natural beauty is awesome. So if you are planning to go somewhere at the hill station, then do think about Rohtang.
