In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Diwali is a mythological festival celebrated every year in the autumn season. It is celebrated every year on the Amawasaya of Kartik month and is one of the biggest and most important festivals of India. Spiritually it signifies the ‘victory of light over darkness’.
This year the Udayatithi of Amavasya is falling on 1 November but it is ending at 6:00 pm. Whereas Amavasya will start from 3:52. Since the festival of Diwali is celebrated at night, it is considered logical to celebrate this festival on 31 October.
For this reason, this festival will be celebrated on 31 October. Apart from this, the rest of the festivals will be as follows.
29-10-2024 – Dhanteras
30-10-2024 – Chhoti Diwali
31-10-2024 – Deepawali
02-11-2024 – Govardhan Puja
03-11-2024 – Bhai Dooj
