How much sleep do you need as per your age?

To get enough sleep is good for our health. It will enhance the glow of our skin and face. Studies prove that more than 40% of adults suffer from insomnia. Lack of sleep is a public health epidemic. So it’s important to take enough sleep and put it at your priority as well.

If you lack in the sleeping hours then you may suffer from weight gain, weekend immune system, hypertension, high BP, loss of memory, stroke, heart disease and many others several problems. Now, check how much hours of sleep you require based on your age.

New Born Baby
The newborn baby that belongs to an age group of 0 (zero) to 3 months require at least 14 to 17 hours of sleep. If they are getting less than that then it will be harmful to them and reflects their growth too.

Infants
The infant that belongs to an age group 4 to 11 months requires 12 to 15 hours of sleep. Do take care that the kids should take proper sleep.

Toddlers
The toddlers that belong to an age group 1 to 2 years require at least 11 to 14 hours of sleep. Try to start some physical activities for them too.

Pre-School Kids
The pre-schools kids that belong to an age group 3 to 5 years require 10 to 13 hours of sleep. Do not cut down their sleeping time to complete their homework or else.

School-Age Kids
The school-age kids that belong to an age group 6 to 12 years require 10 to 13 hours of sleep. To maintain a proper timetable for them contain study, playing and sleeping time.

Teenagers
The teenagers that have belongs to an age group 13 to 17 years require 8 to 10 hours of sleep. This is the age of adolescence, so treat them carefully as the hormonal changes start in them.

Young Adults
The young adults that belong to an age group 18 to 25 years require 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Do treat them as your friends as now they are adults.

Adults
The adult that belongs to an age group 25 to 64 years requires 7 to 9 hours of sleep. You must keep sure that you are getting proper sound sleep.

Older Adults
The older adults that belong to an age group 65+ years require 7 to 8 hours of sleep. In this age group, people suffer from insomnia too. So do consult your Doctor.
