As is well known, Dussehra or Vijayadashami, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, will be celebrated this time on Thursday, 15 October 2021. It is believed that on this day or say this date, Lord Shri Ram had killed the demon king Ravana and liberated him.
This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over India as the victory of good over evil and as a symbol of it. Ravana’s effigy is also burnt in the evening on the day of Dussehra, while a fair is also organized at some places.
