Correspondant, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology Haridwar (NIELIT Haridwar) organised a one day workshop on the topic “DIGITAL PAYMENT AWARENESS & INFORMATION SECURITY’ for the students and faculty members of TIBETAN SOS VTC, SELAKUI DEHRADUN on 29-05-2019.
Shri Anurag Kumar, Director-in-charge, NIELIT Haridwar enlightened the participants about the increasing cases of financial frauds thus arising the need of awareness in the society about the importance of safe digital transaction techniques.
NIELIT’s Ms. Geetika Pal gave a detailed presentation in which she mentioned about various digital payment methods being used these days and focussed on the security issues as well.
NIELIT’s Shri Nikhil Ranjan gave an introductory presentation on NIELIT profile and made the students aware about the 15 important points related to cyber security. An academic counselling session was also conducted for the students about the various opportunities in the areas of Electronics and Information Technology.
During the programme Ms. Namgyal Dolma, Secretary, and staff of Tibetan SOS VTC, Shri Ashok Kumara of NIELIT Haridwar and about 60 students were also present.
A quiz was also organized at the end wherein the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The first, second and third position holders were given mementos by NIELIT.
