Revealing the mythological religious place in North India

The mythological places associated with the Hindu religion are as old as their religion. One of the names of such a mythical religious place is Haridwar. Some people also speaks it Haridwar or Hardwar. Haridwar literally means that the entrance gate to go to Lord Vishnu. In the same way, Hardwar means the entrance door to go to Lord Shiva. Well, its legendary name was Mayapuri.

In ancient times, Haridwar has a special significance in Hindu religion. Tourist and travellers from abroad come here to worship Maa Ganga. In Haridwar, there are some world famous places and temples, besides some of the major temples, namely Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple, Maya Devi Mandir, Pavan Dham, Saptarishi etc.
