National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Haridwar organized five one-day webinars on e-waste management through online mode on the occasion of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Students and students of various schools of Uttarakhand participated in these webinars. E-certificates were also issued by NIELIT Haridwar to the students and girls who participated in the webinar. Apart from this, an online quiz on e-waste management was also organized in which the first three place holders Mr. Meet Arora, Mr. Shabd Saini and Mr. Ansh Singh were encouraged by giving memento and certificates by Mr. Anurag Kumar, Director, NIELIT Haridwar. .
On this occasion Shri Nikhil Ranjan of NIELIT Haridwar apprised the students about the problems being faced by e-waste and also shared the solutions of e-waste with the students. At the end of the webinar, a pledge was also administered to the students to stop e-waste. On this occasion, various digital literacy courses and other employment oriented programs conducted in NIELIT Haridwar were also told.
