North India’s largest Tiger Reserve is located in Uttarakhand Haridwar. By the way, most people know by its older name as Raja Ji National Park. It has got Tiger Reserve status in the year 2017. Its area is spread over 820 square kilometres.
It is popular for its natural beauty and delightful scenery. Many animals are found here, some of which are mainly Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Deer, Gorilla etc. Apart from 23 mammals, 315 species of birds are also found here. Its name is named after the freedom fighter of India, Shri C. Rajagopalachari.
The highest time to travel here is from November to June. Most of the tourists come in the months of March to June. If you are coming to Uttarakhand this summer, then do not forget to come to Raja National Park.
